Shaker box

This is a small box designed by the American Shaker religion.
It was used to keep dried herbs that they grew themselves.
At Arts & Crafts Village, it is used as a needle box, as a box for collecting scraps and cannabis yarn, and used as an accessory case for dyeing and weaving.

In Japan, there is a traditional bento box called Magewappa.
These are traditionally joined with cherry bark but the shaker boxes we make use handmade copper nails, so unfortunately they are not suitable for lunch boxes.
