Graduated from Osaka Prefecture University, B.E.
Pursued woodworking after 6 years of editing work.

        Moved to Okayama in 1987

1990 Moved to England, Edward Barnsley Education Trust,
        Training under C. Faulkner and Alan Peters (-1991)

Toyomi Harada

Born in Osaka in 1956.
Graduated from Doshisha University B.A.
After working at an NPO for 7 years in Osaka
Moved to Okayama in 1987

1986 Studied Saori weaving at the Institute for Modern Textile Weaving (-87) in Osaka
1990 Travelled to Britain and studied hand spinning in Dartington, Devon
1992 Taught weaving at the Tsuyama City Co-op to persons with disabilities (up to 1997)
1992 Opened Arts & Crafts Village with Yasunori Nagao
1996 – 2013 Exhibition director for a number of overseas shows
1999 Invited by the Arts Council of England to teach Saori Weaving in Plymouth, UK as a Visiting Artist
2000 Japanese Studio Crafts exhibition in London (Daiwa Japan House)
2013 Japanese Connections exhibition at the Knitting and Stitching Show
         (London, Dublin, Hello Gate)
